FlightSafety International to Acquire Acron Technologies' Training Unit
FSI signs definitive deal to buy Acron Technologies' Commercial Training Solutions division, expanding its global aviation training footprint.
FlightSafety International Inc. announced Monday it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Commercial Training Solutions division of Acron Technologies, a portfolio company of private equity firm TJC LP, in a move that broadens the Columbus, Ohio-based aviation giant's global training capabilities.
The acquired division — known as CTS — encompasses training systems and services, a commercial pilot school, and operator training programs. The deal adds a meaningful layer of commercial aviation instruction assets to FSI's already extensive portfolio of simulation and flight training technologies.

FSI is widely recognized as one of the world's leading providers of aviation simulation and training technology, and the Acron CTS acquisition signals a continued appetite for growth through targeted acquisitions in the commercial aviation sector. Bringing CTS under the FSI umbrella could allow the combined organization to offer a more comprehensive suite of training pathways to airlines, operators, and individual commercial pilots.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed in the announcement. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, and neither company provided a projected closing timeline in the initial release.
